The beautiful flag-tail pipefish live mostly in pairs and have a brightly coloured tail fin. Often they hide in the coral reef under overhangs or in caves.

The lying and larger species is usually alone and rather colourless. Since they often move freely, the unassuming colour serves as camouflage.

Delivery is basically without music.
