The Banggai cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni) is only found in remote areas of eastern Sulawesi and the Banggai islands and settled there a tiny area of only about 35 sq km.

Nice to know that the population of this species has greatly increased in recent years. The fish live together in larger groups and search the protection of anemone in the Lembeh Strait.
